CEDAR ROUND RAIL
Cedar round rail fences are constructed with 100% cedar round rails and locust posts. We use locust posts on our cedar round rail fences to prevent the premature rotting when cedar posts are set in the ground. All posts are tamped into the ground 10’ on center. Gateposts are set 32” deep in concrete. Our gates are custom built with 1x4 spaced cedar boards and stainless steel nails to prevent bleeding. We feel this is a nice contrast to the round rail fence. The round rail is very heavy and a gate constructed of this material would sag after a short period of time and would have difficulty opening and closing.
